With regards to clothes to determine in, can you prioritise fashion or comfort? Many of us fall somewhere at the center. We might splurge on a set of compression leggings designed to wick sweat and aid recovery, but on top we’re wearing an old, oversized cotton t-shirt. So, does it really matter what you wear at the gym?
Well, research say it can, revealing a direct correlation between what we wear and just how we perform, along with our motivation levels and also probability of injury. To describe more, Nick Harris, a high human performance expert who created HPE Activewear, shares his specialist advice on how what we wear to do exercise can impact our workout:
It may prevent injury – “Wearing appropriate clothing is vital when you are an avid exerciser. Many sport injuries occur because of the insufficient appropriate equipment, including clothes. Whichever activity you happen to be engaged in, you should select the clothing for that particular sport, searching for something that provides ample protection against impact, strain, or overheating. “I’d advise making an investment in top quality compression wear, this kind of kit increases circulation and the flow of blood to the heart, delivering necessary oxygen to working muscles, reducing fatigue and soreness by managing lactic acid accumulation, helping improve power, endurance and recovery.”
You won’t feel restricted – “Lightweight materials and well-designed active wear should feel as if another skin, ensuring you don’t feel restricted while you train. Exercising in total comfort will allow you to iglofd concentrate on the task on hand, and workout to the very best of your capability. Choosing clothing which allows wide selection of motion is very important, so when choosing Compressed T Shirt, pay close attention to the design and style and tailoring, opting for seamless kit which won’t irritate the skin, or rub.”
It regulates and controls body temperature – “An intense session at the health club will create thankful that you simply didn’t wear that old cotton top, as cotton absorbs sweat easily and retains moisture, leaving you feeling damp and high. You should opt for light, breathable and sweat-wicking fabrics that will draw moisture away from the body, allowing you feeling dry and comfy. Intelligent fabrics like XT Air, or XT Air ICE will also help to regulate and keep your system temperature to ensure you can do in your best, within the ultimate comfort.”
